Long-term Commitment to Our Members
ELC was initiated in June 2011 by a group of passionate young students who are looking to make a difference in their respective community.
Now, some of them are studying in the United Kingdom, some are pursuing their higher education in the United States of America, while others are attending colleges and universities in Canada and Australia. All through their study, they noticed the importance of practical planning as well as the inadequacy of support provided by school-based education system.
In order to serve more aspiring students and bring their ideas to life, these young people choose to launch the ELC platform.
We sincerely invite you to participate in our various programs and hope one day you can become whatever you want to be
Cambridge International AS and A Levels (www.cie.org.uk) are taken in over 125 countries and offer a choice of 60 different subjects.
Learners have the freedom to select the subjects that are right for them, either following a broad course of study or specialising in a particular area.
As to A Level exams, universities and colleges in UK have detailed requirements, and every year, thousands A Level students gain places at good universities worldwide.
High school students can easily take A Level exams in British Council in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chongqing.
AP (www.collegeboard.org) offers 34 courses and exams, each designed to correspond to an introductory-level college course. The Advanced Placement International Diploma is a globally recognized certificate for students with an international outlook. Universities worldwide utilize the APID in admissions.
To earn an APID, students must earn grades of three or higher on at least five AP Exams in the following content areas:
1. Two AP Exams from two different languages

TOEFL and IELTS
TOEFL (www.ets.org) and IELTS (www.ielts.org) scores can accurately measure proficiency of English-language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
For IELTS, many universities require an at least total band 6.5 with no part less than 6.0, while some top universities or competitive majors state clearly that no band should be less than 7.0.
As to the internet-based TOEFL test, most universities require a least overall score 90 with no section less than 21, while some elite universities stress a minimum score of 100.
After some systematic and persistent training, students can find that their targeted scores are absolutely reachable and attainable.
As to which test is best for international students, we have to take university application into consideration.
SAT and ACT
ACT (www.act.org) consists of four subjects test: English, Mathematics, Reading, Science; SAT (www.collegeboard.org) tests three sections: Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing.
The ACT lasts 2 hours and 55 minutes plus an additional half hour if you take the optional writing section; the SAT lasts 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Your scaled ACT score ranges from 1 to 36, and half of all students taking the ACT have scores between 17 and 23. Each section on the SAT test is scored on a scale of 200-800, and the maximum total score is 2400.
ACT and SAT scores are highly valued by elite universities in US and the world as well.
